Sefko: Chandler Parson's hot hand gives Mavs reason to be optimistic as All-Star break nears

Chandler Parsons believes he is playing the best basketball of his life, and that's saying something.

Not just because he's played some pretty salty ball in his career, but because he remembers exactly where he was a month ago, two months ago and beyond that.

"It's too bad they have to include those first few months," he said recently when looking at his recent statistics.

Actually, Parsons and the Mavericks know that it's a good thing he went through that difficult-to-watch period early in the season when he wasn't allowed to play his normal minutes and had to sit out a few games in deference to his surgically repaired right knee.
