Rick Carlisle's offensive system has made the offensive adjustment easy for new Mavs, but this still needs to improve

SALT LAKE CITY -- When Tim Hardaway Jr. came to the Mavericks from New York as part of Dallas' franchise-altering trade for Kristaps Porzingis, basketball was the easy part of the transition.

All the other aspects of uprooting life in an instant were a bit tougher. Having his French bulldog, Otto, with him from the moment the plane departed from New York to his new home made the change a bit easier.

"He was great," Hardaway said. "He was awesome."

Roughly a month after he was traded by the Knicks, Hardaway and the others involved in the seven-player trade are settling into their roles.
