Report: Mavs' NBA Summer League standout Cameron Payne agrees to deal with Toronto Raptors

The Mavericks have found a Summer League success story.

Maybe not one that will ultimately benefit their franchise, but one that greatly benefits the career of point guard Cameron Payne.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Payne agreed to a two-year deal with the defending NBA champion Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.

Payne led the Mavericks' Summer League team averaging 20 points on 51% shooting in the three games he suited up with Dallas.
