LAS VEGAS – With Cooper Flagg and Ryan Nembhard sitting out Wednesday’s summer league game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Maxwell Lewis saw this as an excellent opportunity for him to expand his game and get up a few more shots.
Lewis responded with a game-high 23 points on 10-of-20 shots, but it wasn’t enough as the Dallas Mavericks fell to the Sixers, 90-82, at the Thomas & Mack Center. The loss dropped the Mavs to 1-3 heading into their final game on Friday at 3 p.m. Dallas time in the city that never sleeps.
Lewis, who was 3-of-8 from three-point range, was definitely in his bag against the Sixers as they had a very difficult time trying to contain him.
