Dorian Finney-Smith joined the NBA in 2016 as an undrafted free agent with a penchant for being a pit bull on defense.
Now, the Dallas Mavericks are asking Finney-Smith to put the ball on the floor and initiate the offense. It’s a challenge coach Jason Kidd believes the 6-7, 220-pound forward can handle.
“If you look at what we were asking him to do when we started the season was to put the ball on the floor and become a playmaker,” Kidd said after Monday’s practice.
