The Mavericks will open the season against the San Antonio Spurs, the third year in a row the Texas teams will play in the lid-lifter.

The Spurs will visit American Airlines Center on Oct. 22 at 8:30 p.m., according to the NBA’s official (albeit partial) release of the schedule Tuesday morning on ABC’s Good Morning America.
