Mavs hold on and cut down the Nets, 96-94

Luka Doncic continued his streak of scoring at least 30 points in every game this season. And his 36 points were very helpful in leading the Dallas Mavericks to a pulsating 96-94 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night at American Airlines Center.

It was the fourth straight win for the Mavs, who are 6-3 and will open a two-game road trip Wednesday in Orlando and continue it Thursday in Washington, DC, before returning home to host Portland on Saturday.

Nets superstar Kevin Durant was inadvertently fouled by Dorian Finney-Smith with 5.6 seconds remaining while attempting a three-point shot and had an excellent chance to tie the score with Brooklyn trailing, 96-93.
