DALLAS — It was the only division in the NBA to feature all playoff teams a season ago. Now, the Dallas Mavericks believe the Southwest Division could be even better during the 2015-16 season.
Last season, the Houston Rockets took the division in a season-long race to the finish line, claiming the Western Conference’s No. 2 seed after sprinting to a 56-26 record during the grueling 82-game schedule. Finishing just a game back in the standings to claim the West’s fifth and sixth seeds, respectively, both the Memphis Grizzlies and the San Antonio Spurs recorded 55-27 marks during the regular season.
