The Dallas Mavericks have requested waivers on forward Terry Larrier, the team announced Thursday afternoon. Larrier was initially signed by Dallas on July 31. He is expected to be replaced on the training camp roster by Jalen Jones.
On the surface, it may seem odd that the team is waiving Larrier before the start of training camp. However, as The Dallas Morning News’ Eddie Sefko reports, Larrier sustained a “significant knee injury” this summer. Larrier will still receive his training camp guarantee and will go through rehabilitation with the Mavs and Texas Legends.
