The Mavericks filled a need and got a longtime running mate of Luka Donu010diu0107’s on Tuesday, signing playmaker Facu Campazzo to a contract.
The acquisition is crucial for several reasons. First, it gives the Mavericks another ballhandler who can create for teammates, something that was lacking on a team that otherwise has excellent depth.
They also got a good friend of Luka’s. He played with Campazzo at Real Madrid and has known him for many years. The two spent lots of time in the starting backcourt for Madrid.
In addition, Campazzo has an excellent reputation in the locker room and should mesh well with the Mavericks.
