Mavericks' incredible offseason completely flies under Vegas' controversial radar

After trading Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Dallas Mavericks certainly haven't gotten any sort of grace from the national media in terms of how they've righted the ship since Doncic was traded. This isn't to say trading Doncic wasn't unequivocally a terrible move, and the Mavericks obviously don't deserve credit for lucking into the No. 1 pick, but it cannot be denied that Nico Harrison and company have constructed a talented roster ahead of next season.

While Kyrie Irving's health is a huge indictment upon how next season goes for the Mavericks, they aren't getting enough credit for re-signing Dante Exum and signing D'Angelo Russell during this free agency period, as those two guard along with Brandon Williams may be enough to keep things steady until Irving gets back if Williams continues on the upward trajectory he was on last season.
