Mavericks guard Curry out indefinitely with leg injury

Seth Curry's second season with the Mavericks took an unfortunate turn with Saturday's announcement that the guard is suffering from a stress reaction in his left tibia.

It was unclear when the injury occurred, but he did play in the preseason game at Orlando on Thursday, when he shot 4-of-14 from the field.

More details will be available after the Mavericks finish practice Saturday morning.

Curry was one of the Mavericks' best players after entering the starting lineup last season in January. He averaged 12.8 points and shot 42.5 percent from 3-point range.

Typical recovery time for a stress reaction can range from anywhere from two weeks to two months.
