Newly-acquired Mavericks forward Kristaps Porzingis will not play this season as he continues to recovery form an ACL injury sustained last February, team owner Mark Cuban told SportsDay.
Mark Cuban says Porzingis will not play this year because "we want to make sure we are very conservative," adding of the trade: I’m obviously incredibly excited. We have talked to all of the guys and each is excited to join the Mavs."

Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle told ESPN Radio 103.3 FM earlier on Friday that he "did not know a timetable for Porzingis' return" and that it would be "later rather than sooner.
