Sometimes, it’s hard to figure out whether somebody is smart like a fox or dumb as a rock.
Like when you tell your daughter’s boyfriend to have her home by 10:15 and he says: “OK, the middle of October. Great.”
That’s where I’m at when looking at the Western Conference. It’s easy to fall in love with several teams. You can make a case for the LA Clippers, Phoenix, Denver and, of course, Golden State. Minnesota, Memphis, the Mavericks, the Lakers and maybe even Sacramento could easily qualify as a trendy picks.
And yet, you can find reasons to doubt all of those teams.
