Luka, Brunson fend off furious Celtics’ rally for 113-108 Mavericks’ victory

Just when it looked like Luka Donu010diu0107 was throwing his name back into the MVP conversation with a national television gem, reality reared its ugly head.

A game that the Mavericks seemingly had stashed away got way too close for comfort down the stretch before they hung on behind two free throws with 11.3 seconds left by Jalen Brunson as they squeaked out a 113-108 victory over the Boston Celtics at TD Garden.

In the third quarter, the Mavericks had been ahead by 23 points. In the fourth, they were up by nine with under three minutes to go.
