Long layoff enabled Mavs to get some of their injured players healthy

For the Dallas Mavericks, the long layoff to the 2019-‘20 NBA season due to the coronavirus pandemic has had its benefits.

At the time the season ended on Mar. 11 after the Mavs rallied to spank Denver, 113-97, forward Dorian Finney-Smith (right hip) and guard Seth Curtry (left ankle sprain) sat out the win over the Nuggets with various injuries. Guard Jaeln Brunson also missed the Denver game with a sprain right shoulder.

In addition, All-Star point guard Luka Doncic wasn’t exactly 100 percent at the time the season was suspended and hadn’t long gotten back into the starting lineup following issues with his ankle.
