FRISCO – It’s a good thing Kessler Edwards stayed ready – and didn’t have to get ready — this past season for the Dallas Mavericks.
That’s because when the Mavs were besieged with one key injury after another, the 6-7, 203-pound Edwards was one of the players who stepped in and helped fill the void. And that often meant playing center where he was frequently at a four-to-six inch height disadvantage and a 40-to-70 pound weight disadvantage.
“That’s something that I wasn’t ready for,” Kessler told Mavs.com. “But the coaches helped me out and my teammates helped me out with it.
