Jason Kidd's repeated costly mistake is wrecking the Mavericks' season

The Dallas Mavericks suffered arguably their worst loss of the season in a 101-99 defeat to the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night, as the Mavericks' offense continued to struggle, with the Mavericks only shooting 41.9 percent from the field in the contest. The Pelicans came into this game having allowed 120 points or more in every single one of their games, barring their win versus the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night, so the Mavericks' offense is in dangerously stale territory.

Part of the reason for this has been Anthony Davis ailing from a calf strain and Kyrie Irving obviously still rehabbing from his torn ACL, but the lack of playmaking and shot creation on this roster currently is plaguing the offense, and part of the reason for this is Jason Kidd's mismanagement of the point guard position up to this point in the season.
