Dallas Mavericks guard Jaden Hardy hosted his fourth annual basketball camp on Saturday for boys and girls from the third through 11th grade. And this year he added a twist.
With the advent of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) running rampant across the country, Hardy invited financial advisors to come and speak to the 100 campers at the June Shelton School in North Dallas. One of those speakers was Victor Olivera, a financial advisor and the global sports entertainment associate director at Morgan Stanley.
Olivera said: “We’re teaching the kids the basis of budgeting, saving and investing, especially at a younger age with NIL being a real possibility to make money at a younger age.
