As schools far and wide celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, the Dallas Mavericks are taking the time to shine a spotlight on the dedicated educators supporting students across the Dallas-Fort Worth community.
But the Mavs’ appreciation isn’t limited to just one week— their support for Dallas ISD teachers, staff, and students extends all year long, especially for the team’s three adopted schools: Adelle Turner Elementary, Royce West Leadership Academy and James Madison High School.
For four years, the Mavs have supported students at South Dallas’ Adelle Turner as part of the team’s Adopt-A-School program. Today, the program continues to evolve as the Mavs work closely with Dallas ISD to identify where support is needed most.
