They also perish there, honorably.
Sports are nothing close to life or death. But anybody who saw Tyrese Haliburton go down in Game 7 Sunday night knows that when heroes fall, they leave a wide gap in the hearts of everybody. And their legacy continues. Even if they can’t for awhile.

The end of the 2024-25 NBA season came early for Haliburton, who suffered an Achilles injury in the first quarter of the Indiana Pacers’ 103-91 loss to the champion Oklahoma City Thunder.
