Guards Irving, Russell signed on dotted line with Mavs

The Dallas Mavericks made it official Sunday when they re-signed guard Kyrie Irving to a three-year, $119 million contract, and also signed free agent guard D’Angelo Russell to a contract that will pay him $5.7 million next season.

Irving opted out of the final year of his contract which would have paid him $42.9 million for the 2025-26 season so he could sign the three-year deal.

Irving underwent surgery on March 26 to repair the torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and isn’t expected back on the court until sometimes in the early portion of the year 2026.
