Guadalupe Madrigal was one of the 123 lucky teenage girls on Tuesday as they all felt the joy of a graduation ceremony like no other.
And Madrigal, bound for UT-Arlington, was the luckiest of them all.
The vibrant, well-spoken member of the Fort Worth campus of the Young Women’s Preparatory Network was the winner of a raffle of a wagon-full of prizes that will fully deck out her new dorm room in her freshman year at UTA.
“I was definitely taken aback,” Madrigal said. “That’s crazy. Out of everyone here, I was probably the least to have been expecting to go up there.
