NEW YORK – Before he left Barclays Center for whatever post-draft celebration he was joining, newest Maverick Cooper Flagg wanted to let fans know that, in the two-plus months since his only college season ended, he hasn’t exactly been on summer vacation.
Oh, he got some rest. Athletes need recovery time, even at the tender age of 18. But it wasn’t long before he was back in the gym.
“I took a little bit of time off after the season, for sure, let my body kind of reset and heal,” Flagg said.
