Doncic named an All-Star, then injures ankle against Suns

PHOENIX – Luka Doncic was named to the NBA All-Star team Thursday for the fourth year in a row.

The Dallas Mavericks’ point guard joins Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Shaquille O’Neal, Isiah Thhomas and Anthony Davis as the only players to earn four All-Star berths before the age of 24.

Doncic was named as a starter for the Western Conferemce for the third time in the last four seasons.

“It’s well deserved,” coach Jason Kidd said. “He’s one of the best players in the world. You look at what he’s done in the first half of the season, the numbers are off the charts.
