Doncic, Irving both score at least 40 as Mavs take out Sixers, 133-126

The Dallas Mavericks got their swag back. And their two best players helped pave the way by setting a franchise record.

Luka Doncic scored 42 points and Kyrie Irving added 40 points as the Mavs withstood a fourth-quarter rally in the fourth quarter by Philadelphia and held on to defeat the Sixers, 133-126, Thursday night at American Airlines Center. The sterling performances by Doncic and Irving marked the first time in Mavs’ history that two of their players scored at least 40 points in the same game.

With the win, the Mavs snapped a tow-game losing streak and increased their record to 33-31, while the Sixers dropped to 40-22

Doncic and Irving were almost unstoppable, as whatever resistance the Sixers offered, it didn’t work.
