Despite career game from Gafford, Hornets outlast Mavs, 110-105

CHARLOTTE, N. C. – In a game involving two teams battling major injuries, the Charlotte Hornets outlasted the Dallas Mavericks, winning, 110-105 on Monday afternoon at Spectrum Center.

The Mavs are now 23-20 heading into Wednesday’s home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, while the Hornets won for the third straight game and are 11-28 overall.

Charlotte guard LaMelo Ball converted a free throw with 13 seconds left to put the Hornets up, 108-105. However, Ball missed the second free throw, leaving the door open for the Mavs to tie the game and possibly send it into overtime.
