Dallas Mavs head coach Rick Carlisle joins CEO Cynt Marshall at Dallas Regional Chamber’s annual meeting

When Cynthia “Cynt” Marshall became the Dallas Mavericks CEO, she saw turning around the scandal-plagued NBA team as a way to stop yelling at the TV and put her “Me Too” concerns into action.

“Here was the opportunity to finally actually truly make a difference,” she said Thursday as she reflected on accepting the job.

Nearly two years into the role, the 60-year-old executive preached the importance of embracing diversity and inclusion to a ballroom of many of the Dallas area’s top business leaders.
