The Dallas Mavericks traded for Tim Hardaway Jr. on Jan. 31, 2019. He was part of the deal that brought Kristaps Porzingis to Dallas. Most viewed THJ as a throw-in. The Knicks wanted off his hefty salary and player option for the 2020-2021 season.
Hardaway Jr. has turned into a lot more than that, though. He struggled with a stress reaction in his leg last season. The 27-year-old had his year cut short as he opted for surgery to address the issue. THJ returned healthy this season and is proving his skill.
