The defensive side of the ball has certainly not been the strength of the Dallas Mavericks so far this season. This could be because they have struggled slowing some teams down or it could be simply because the offense is on pace to be the most efficient offense in NBA history. Dallas is currently averaging 117.1 points per 100 possessions, the highest mark by any team in history.
Even though the Mavs are scoring at an incredible rate, the defense can’t be neglected completely. There are still stops that need to be made and rebounds that need to be secured.
