Dallas Mavericks: Kristaps Porzingis is back in Dallas

The Dallas Mavericks made a massive commitment to Kristaps Porzingis before he has ever taken the court in their uniform. They gave up two first round picks, two starters, and Dennis Smith Jr. to acquire him from the Knicks in January. The front office signed the restricted free agent big man to a five-year $158.3 million max contract this summer to keep him in Dallas.

That is a ton to invest in any player. Porzingis is recovering from a torn ACL and missed all of last season. It is not often a 24-year-old All-Star is available, though.
