The Anthony Davis saga ended. NBA supporters will remember he requested a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans in late January. It was not honored and caused AD to miss games down the stretch. The Pels and new EVP of Basketball Ops David Griffin made the deal on June 15.
Davis was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers for a massive haul. New Orleans received Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, fourth overall pick in 2019, a top-eight protected first rounder in 2021, an unprotected first in 2024, and two future first-round pick swaps.
