For the last 20 years of Dallas Mavericks basketball, it has become the norm that Dirk Nowitzki was not just the best person on the court, but the best person off it, too. We saw time and time again that Dirk spent a lot of his time working with charities, children’s hospitals and the community of Dallas in general to better the world around him.
Although Dirk is the gold standard in that area (and in the basketball area), the Mavs have had some players who have been very willing and ready to get involved in the community.
