We all know that Rick Carlisle likes to roll out the small ball lineups, specifically with two point guards, on a regular basis. We saw several times in the past where he would use J.J. Barea and Devin Harris together or Barea and Jalen Brunson last year or several other instances over the years.
However, this year is a little bit different. Despite the fact that the Dallas Mavericks have several good point guard options, the lineup flexibility is not what it has been in the past. Between Barea, Brunson, Delon Wright and Luka Doncic, the Mavs need to determine how they can break the minutes down in order to get each of these guys on the court.
