The Dallas Mavericks had an awful night on Tuesday. Dwight Powell suffered a non-contact injury and had to be helped off the floor. It was later revealed that he ruptured his Achilles. Powell will miss the remainder of the season.
The Mavericks also had their four-game winning streak snapped by the LA Clippers.
They are still a virtual lock to make the playoffs, but Powell will be missed. His ability as a roll man is difficult to replace. Powell thrived as Luka Doncic’s primary pick and roll partner. His energy and effort were infectious.
