The Dallas Mavericks lost Rick Carlisle on June 17. The all-time winningest coach in franchise history resigned after 13 seasons. Carlisle plans to seek new coaching opportunities, despite having two years left on his contract.
The 61-year-old had a ton of ups and downs as the Mavericks head coach, but nothing outweighs him bringing Dallas its one and only NBA championship. Carlisle states it has been an “honor working alongside” several members of the Mavs organization.
Alongside success, Carlisle had plenty of low points.
