The Dallas Mavericks brought in Tim Hardaway Jr. as part of the Jan. 31 trade with the New York Knicks. Kristaps Porzingis may have been the headliner, but Hardaway Jr. was in the midst of a strong season. He was averaging 19.1 points as the leading scorer in New York.
The Mavericks paid a hefty price in the trade. They gave up Dennis Smith Jr., Wesley Matthews, DeAndre Jordan, and two first round picks to acquire Porzingis, Hardaway Jr., Courtney Lee, and Trey Burke.
