Trying to smooth over a situation that really isn't much of a situation at all, coach Rick Carlisle and backup center Nerlens Noel had a brief, light-hearted moment with a few media members after practice on Sunday.
It was orchestrated by Carlisle to allow Noel a chance to apologize again for going into the media room at American Airlines Center on Saturday at halftime of the Mavericks' win over the Clippers so he could grab a hot dog.
Basically, Noel wanted to say that this was no foot-long controversy.
"I just want to say (about) yesterday's incident with the hot dog, I've just been going hard in pregame, lifting and I got a little hungry," Noel said.
