Burke let the game come to him during 29-point outburst against Orlando

After missing Thursday’s overtime win against the Denver Nuggets with an illness, Dallas Mavericks guard Trey Burke wanted to be sure he could make some immediate contributions once he was back on the court for Saturday’s game against the Orlando Magic.

Consider Burke’s plan a successful one.

Burke was absolutely on fire against the Magic as he finished with 29 points in just 21 minutes. He also was a very efficient 11-of-13 from the field, including 7-of-8 from behind the 3-point line.

“As far as my contributions, I just let the game come to me,” Burke said after Saturday’s 112-98 victory.
