Bingham bouncing back from season-ending injury

Just as Marcus Bingham Jr.’s pro basketball career was about to take flight, it unceremoniously was grounded.

Bingham was all set to play last season for the Texas Legends of the NBA G League. His uniform and jersey number had already been ordered. Then, disaster struck.

In an injury that ended his season before it got started, Bingham suffered an ankle injury which required season-ending surgery last fall. It was a bitter pill for the 7-foot, 230-pound center from Michigan State to swallow, and required five months of rehab.

“I’m still rehabbing, but I feel good,” Bingham said on Wednesday.
