A 41-point triple-double by Doncic helped Mavs edge Warriors, 116-113

Luka Doncic produced another massive 40-point triple-double Tuesday night, and the Dallas Mavericks held on for dear life and nipped the defending world champion Golden State Warriors, 116-113, at American Airlines Center.

In finishing with 41 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists and four steals and earning his 51st career triple-double, Doncic helped the Mavs (10-10) snap a four-game losing streak and defeat the team that eliminated them in last season’s Western Conference Finals. Larry Bird (49 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists, four steals in a double-overtime game against Portland on March 15, 1992) is the only other player in NBA history to put up a stat line like the one Doncic manufactured against Golden State.
