The Dallas Mavericks have outperformed expectations so far in the 2019-2020 season. Most experts had them as a fringe playoff team coming into the year. Few expected the Mavs to virtually have a playoff spot locked up by the All-Star break.
Luka Doncic became a superstar and led the way for the Mavericks. He was in the thick of the MVP race all season. The front office did well in adding a second star in Kristaps Porzingis and filling the roster around them to suit their strengths.
