Mark Cuban's "slippery slope" concerns a reality in tonight's Mavs news update

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has dominated Mavs news as of late, with his comments on race garnering everything from high praise to extreme criticism.

Last week, Cuban came out and stated that it would be a "slippery slope" to oust Donald Sterling as Los Angeles Clippers owner, leading to other members of the NBA being driven out of the league for what he feels to be private thoughts.

Per ESPNDallas.com, "Sterling’s 32-page legal response to the NBA questions whether the league is “willing to set a standard that an individual can be punished for voicing a negative opinion,” adding that “such a standard will make short shrift of many players and coaches.”

The 32-page document basically uses the same "slippery slope" argument to infer that exiling Sterling will lead to an irrevocable chain of events in the league.

The document uses Orlando Magic owner Richard DeVos as a prime example of someone who has "made highly controversial comments against individuals with HIV/AIDS and generously supports anti-homosexual causes with impunity" - attempting to draw the conclusion that if Sterling is made to go, the same happen to DeVos.

Cuban has had no other public comments on the matter at the time of this writing.
