The preliminary rosters for the 2023 XFL season are set, with the new spring football league finishing its draft with 442 non-quarterbacks selected for eight teams.
The XFL assigned quarterbacks to teams before the draft. The draft on Tuesday and Wednesday was divided into four position groups: offensive skill positions, defensive backs, defensive front seven and offensive line. After that, teams picked specialists and had open rounds for players at any position.
The XFL says that 285 of its draft picks previously have been signed to an active NFL roster or a practice-squad contract.
