FRISCO -- One way to see that La'el Collins is a quick study at his new position of right tackle is to watch whom he's hanging around more now.
Collins and All-Pro left tackle Tyron Smith have walked off the field side by side after most practices this offseason, both shirtless and menacing.
They even prompted former Cowboys six-time Pro Bowl guard Nate Newton -- once affectionately nicknamed "The Kitchen" -- to stop an interview mid-sentence to address the duo.
"Yo, dog," Newton told Collins and Smith. "Y'all looking pretty tough now."
Collins' second season in the NFL was cut short last year after he tore a ligament in his right big toe in Week 3 against Chicago.
