We all know that luck plays a role, sometimes a critical one, in the success of just about anything. But if there’s anything athletes or coaches can’t stand, it’s being cast as lucky.
Remember way back in 2016 when we talked of the Rangers’ good fortune based on an improbable 38-11 record in one-run games? They laughed at us. Or worse. Whether or not being swept by Toronto or finishing below .500 this season is an indication that the critics were probably right, I will let others decide.
That brings us to this year’s Cowboys. We know based on what they have returning from a 13-3 team, this should be a pretty strong football team.
