There was a strange high-pitched sound coming from the running back group during rookie minicamp recently at Valley Ranch.
It sounded like the footballs being used during drills were making a whistling sound.
They were, but only when they were being carried correctly. Keep the ball high and tight against your body and the ball whistles, letting you know that you're carrying it correctly.
"Keep the ball singing," Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett yelled out at one point as fourth overall pick Ezekiel Elliott went through a drill.
"Yeah, it's a good technique," Garrett said.
