What to watch for in Cowboys-Cardinals preseason game: Can Rico Gathers show he's worthy of a roster spot?

FRISCO -- Perhaps Sunday's preseason game for the Cowboys should be referred to as the undressed rehearsal.

This third preseason game is usually called the "dress rehearsal" because teams typically play their starters longer to get them ready for the opener. But most of the Cowboys' starters -- at least on offense -- are expected to be in street clothes.

They aren't expected to play against Arizona because they're either hurt or the fear that they could get injured.

If you're trying to pick out a jersey to wear at AT&T Stadium on Sunday to match one of your favorite offensive starters who will play, don't consider these: quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Ezekiel Elliott, left tackle Tyron Smith (hamstring), center Travis Frederick (Guillain-Barré syndrome), right guard Zack Martin (knee) and right tackle La'el Collins (ankle/calf/illness).
