Frederick spoke after a surprise appearance at Hillcrest High in Dallas to award student Jewell Sterling, the SAP Teen Innovator from Texas. She won a trip to New York to meet Daymond John, one of the stars of ABC's Shark Tank. Frederick was a natural to make the announcement because of sponsorship connections and his foundation's work to end hunger among Dallas children.
