Last Thanksgiving, the Dallas Cowboys faced the Super Bowl bound Carolina Panthers. Both teams played in alternative uniforms as part of the NFL and Nike’s Color Rush campaign. The league tested out these new more colorful alternative unis during four Thursday games last season in an effort to increase viewership.
Although the Cowboys white-on-white Color Rush uniforms were a subtle change, many other NFL teams involved in the campaign seemed to spark negative reaction from fans. Especially from those viewers who are also colorblind. It is unknown if the league will continue to tinker with these colors in 2016.
